In the early 1980s, the market for desktop CAD was very fragmented. The first wave of CAD programs was released in the late 1970s for the SDS Sigma-10 and Sigma-20. The Xerox Alto was an improvement because it was modular and had an embedded operating system that was designed to be accessible to the user. In addition, the Alto was small and light enough to sit on a drafting table.

The Apple III had the same feature set as the Apple II, but it was very expensive and required a separate monitor. It was therefore a niche product and not a very good

What is the point of using get or set on a const member variable?

I’m trying to make my understanding of const work and I came across something which I don’t understand.
From a lot of articles, I’ve read that you should use get and set methods for a const variable and that it makes the code better as it forces the developer to use proper accessor methods which should be used for const variables.
Then why is it that if I have a class which looks like this

Protogoniomorpha is a genus of reduviid sandflies of the tribe Triatomini, which includes members that bite humans and mammals. Currently, there are 23 recognized species worldwide, 14 of them being recorded in Brazil. The municipality of Petrolina, Mato Grosso, is located in an important area of transmission of the Chagas disease. This study has characterized the triatomines captured in houses at and near Petrolina. The present study describes a new species, Protogoniomorpha caniola gen. et sp. nov. Five specimens of this species were found and identified. The comparison of morphological and molecular data for the specimens showed that they are close to Protogoniomorpha panamensis, a species reported from Panama. This is the first record of this genus in Brazil, and also in the state of Mato Grosso.
